SHORT NIGHTS
sweltering heat. We're still trucking along, with three more days to go. Lots of partying. Lots of music
to come. Somehow we'll find the strength to keep raising awareness, raising money and raising hell.
Today's interesting development included a chance meeting of two men who are also going to race in
the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. This class features a 2.4 liter 175 HP Porsche motor housed in a
custom dune buggy chassis. These are the first two competitors we have met on our two tours of the
U.S.
After last night's KID ROCK concert, Rupert Boneham, America's favorite Survivor, auctioned off a
custom guitar for $9,000 with the proceeds going to Rupert's Kids, his charity for keeping troubled
youth out of the big house. The guitar was autographed by most of the bands featured on the
Wolfman Jack Stage the past several days.
