DAY SIXTEEN March 14, 2006 INTERSTATE 10 WEST ALL DAY Overnight: Las Cruces, New Mexico

On the road home with one more day (after this) to get home to California.   We should make it by Wednesday evening, unless we get too tired and decide to stay one more night on the road.  Today was a long day of travel.  traveling across  Texas took the entire day.  We traveled 604 miles today and barely made it to Las Cruces New Mexico.  Whipped, we ordered a room service meal and turned in early.  So today we took only a few pictures.  But . . . we did meet up with a group of travelers in Ozona, Texas while visiting the David Crockett Monument.   We shared our trip with them and learned they were on a five month "walkabout" of the United States and would not return home until late August.  So check out today's pictures.  P.S. -- watch out for a special ceremony this weekend as we take Susie to the Pacific Ocean.
