BIKE WEEK
ALL DAY

Street on The Boardwalk. This is right next to the entrance of the pier and
boardwalk bike ride, in front of restaurants and shops.
We met Jill Jaquet today. She has been our primary contact at City Hall and been
so helpful in getting us ready to share with Daytona Beach. She beamed with
pride as we talked about her city. And rightfully so. Everything has been so
beautiful, especially the weather. Running in the mid 70s, blue skies and lots of
bikes. I mean LOTS OF BIKES!
I walked down Main Street for the first time today. What sights. You have to see it
to believe it. And I'm told that this is nothing. Wait until and Saturday. They are
estimating about 375,000 bikes this year. And many more people. My backdoor
routes are paying off. I can get from end to end in about 10 minutes. If you travel
down Atlantic Avenue (the main beachfront drag) it can take up to an hour. The
price we pay to cruise.
